A little black dress can fill so many gaps in a wardrobe! I bought this dress back during my freshman year of college (when I worked at the Gap). I love the idea of bringing the simplicity and the chic style of a cocktail dress into day with a cotton sundress. The sweetheart neckline is pushing the day look a little bit, so I covered up with this beautiful silk scarf I found in Amsterdam. The sash that ties in the pack and the full flare at the hem bring the formality of the dress down. I feel very comfortable, and very much myself today. Perhaps it’s the black? Maybe I need to ease of the color for a bit.
Either way it extremely hot and humid out today, and I can’t believe it’s already August. Happy Tuesday!
