Daily Outfit: October 14, 2009

When:
October 14, 2009
What
White Button Down: Banana Republic
Grey Cardigan: Zara
Black Skinny Jeans: Uniglo
Belt Worn As Necklace: Market Publique
Purple Wedges: Pink Studio
Where:
Work
Why:
You know it’s winter when you can’t tell the difference between 6pm and 6am.
It is so dark when I wake in the morning! And I can’t turn on too many lights for fear of waking a certain slumbering boy, who does not like being woken up by halogen lights at 6am.
Another pesky nuisance of winter is the lack of humidity.
My hair no longer dries in 30 minutes or less. It takes more than an hour to even get my curls to take shape…
I’m going to have to figure out a winter coif that doesn’t require extreme heat. I want my hair to keep growing!
It’s very chilly out today and the grey, white, and black tones seemed to just speak to me this morning. Maybe it’s the result of having to get dressed in the dark. I’llĀ have to start setting outfits aside the night before, just to make sure colors and hues match!
I haven’t worn these jeans in a while because they are a bit too thick and heavy for the summer months, but that makes them perfect for autumn!
Also, a little shout out to Indiana over at Adored Austin who just loves wearing non-traditional items as necklaces, this one’s for you! (I prefer this as a necklace over a belt)
Be sure to check out her cute video on alternative necklaces.

I know what you mean about getting dressed in the dark. I have one of those slumbering boys too. Sometimes I am suprised I got to work matching at all. LOL
Your outfit is adorable. I love your take on Indiana’s alternative necklace- I love it as a necklace too! Also, those shoes are the best!

Liz, I swear you do the best laid-back chic looks that still look professional. I tend to err on the fussy side (that’s where Gilding the Frilly comes from, actually…my tendency to be fussy). I think I hate the almost constant darkness during the winters up here the most-go to work it’s dark…leave from work, and , oh look-still dark. Love the subtle pop of your purple shoes!
